    I'm with you! This is opening up a whole new can of worms. It will be nice to get rid of the Bloatware.

    I will be working on this as soon as I get home this afternoon. :) Great news for all the people that said it couldn't be rooted or wouldn't be for a long time.

    Also, I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe ADB just allows shell access to android devices. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    Yeah you guys are on the right track with ADB. If you look at the all things rooted section in the original Droid forum you can find a lot of good info about ADB etc.

    I know you can get rid of Bloatware, add custom roms, and unlock the wifi hotspot feature. Basically it gives you complete control over your phone.

    I'm having trouble finding some of the bloatware, anyone know the filename 3g hotspot, corp directory?

    Well almost. We can't get custom ROMS quite yet. That's another huge step because we have to battle the bootloader. But getting root is substantial progress in the right direction.

    I can't find 3g hotspot, corp directory, emergency, kindle, or my verizon. So far I'm not doing well lol
