Do you just turn it on when you know you're in a wi-fi area, or do you leave it on and let it auto-connect when it is in a wi-fi area?

I used to turn it off when not in a WiFi area, but have since just left it on. I have not noticed any loss of battery life. I use spare parts and do see it one of the apps that is being used a lot but again, no adverse effect on battery life.

I leave mine on and have had no issues with battery at all, my battery last me all day now

Interesting. I've been shutting it off whenever I leave the house; I may try leaving it on to see how my battery life is affected.

I've found it to drain a significant amount of battery if you are moving at all as it is constantly searching for open networks, if you are sitting still then it really won't hurt.
