I'm curious why we're seeing a lot of these new cross mobile platform chat servers when there's already a plethora of messenger services that not only service mobile devices but desktop operating systems, gaming consoles, cellphones, etc...

Ten years ago it was important to develop an app to support all the current messing services. Why now are more people trying to reinvent the wheel?

The problem with IM is it has to stay connected and can be a drain on battery life and sometimes some of the clients get disconnected. If a system like this that has push messaging but doesnt have a huge battery drain would be welcome.

Ofthedamned, have you or anybody else tried this yet? I'm looking for an app that supports group or conference chat on multiple platforms and this looks promising. Unfortunately gtalk doesn't support this for mobiles yet.

a bunch of my friends all had blackberrys before i jumped ship to the incredible and we had a pretty awesome group chat going every day. I'm looking for a replacement so maybe this will work but the reviews DEFINITELY dont look too good haha. i'll probably wait til the developers figure it out.

I use this currently on my blackberry as im thinking about switching to android and i dont want to loose my BBM contacts. The blackberry version is still in beta but it works ok. The UI is a bit old fashioned but they are working on that. I think this is a great app!!

Is anyone finding problems with the android version?
