So what happens when you wake the phone, it just goes to the homescreen or pattern unlock?

Does this continue to work even after your phone has been reset/reboot?

That's the thing I hate about No Lock, keep having to reset it.

Or just install ScreenModeWidget. It works great.

Are there any apps that remove the slide lock feature but leaves the key pattern enabled?

It has a widget button you can click after a reboot to enable it again. I've rebooted my phone once since April 28th. How often do you reboot that this is an issue?

I just downloaded it. Doesn't seem like a batt. hog. You simply hit the sleep button and the home screen comes up, no slide to unlock option. Didn't receive a phone call yet, so don't know if the lock screen shows up, but as of now I'm going to use it. Until i realize it drains my battery, then I'll uninstall :)

why does the lock screen still show sometimes? i really wish android just had an option to turn off the lock screen. a simple button to wake the screen is really plenty.

I think the slide to unlock is a good precaution to prevent pocket calls.

I've been using No Lock here and it suits my needs.

Question though. Is there a way to get the Nexus One lock screen on the Incredible? Or do we have to wait for root?

That's a good point. Why is there a swipe to unlock screen when a pattern password is set? Seems like a reasonable setting to turn off or even be turned off by default by Android when a password is set.

No Lock seems to work better and is very very simple.

Anyone know of an app that lets you use the optical pad button to wake the phone instead of the power button

i actually just noticed that No Lock allows you to do this. the problem is that it also lets you wake the phone using the volume buttons.

That's not true. There's at least one app that does it. But I think it makes the volume buttons also wake the phone, which is usually rather undesirable. I forget the name of the app.

Thanks....and it is not reliable so I hear. I should have said there is not a reliable consistent app yet for this feature :D
