Hi, new to Android..."Hi everyone"...hoping for any advice!
I bought a Galaxy Note 2 from Ebay (not a great start) but had to return it to the seller as the phone had a problem.

I used it for a few weeks so did a factory re-set and checked it before sending.

Now the seller is contacting me asking for the Swipe code (I put one on the phone while using it) or pin as he can't access the phone.

I'm reluctant to share security info incase the re-set didn't work and the guy might access my email, paypal and all my other private stuff.

Question is - Shouldn't the factory re-set wipe all security I put on the phone, swipes and pins? If the re-set didn't work...couldn't he just factory reset himself and start afresh?

    Anyone any ideas?
    Cheers!

Yes, a factory reset should've wiped all of that.

And yes, he can factory reset it himself if he needs into the device. I would look up how to do it from boot loader or the stock recovery and give the guy directions though.

I thought so...I must of done bad job with the factory reset.

I'll hold back on sending the swipe code!

    Thanks mate.
