    hi
im thinking of getting the new samsung galaxy s2 and was wondering whether the gps uses any data. is it the same as 3g, or something different? im looking to use it as a satnav, probably with copilot live, so would like to know whether the gps is different to 3g.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Android Forums!

GPS will not, in and of itself, use more data bandwidth. What does use additional bandwidth is assisted GPS. If you go to App Drawer -> Settings -> Locations & Security Settings, you'll see a reference to "Enable Assisted GPS". This will use the carriers network to improve the GPS fix.
