Due to wear and tear, I am considering upgrading from my Incredible to an Incredible 2. I use a couple of 1750 mAh batteries for my Incredible which still work well. Can those same batteries be used in the Incredible 2?

    Thanks

There are four contacts on the batteries. If they are not in the same order (for example + - - + vs + + - - that could end up frying something. I've seen people put alkaline batteries in backwards before and it worked for awhile and then had it fry something on the device. Hell, I even remember doing it as a kid when the batteries got low. It seemed to have good charge again until afterward when it just died. I told my electronics instructor about that & he laughed & said you have no idea how often that happens.

Try it if you want, but for warranty they'll want to see everything (phone, battery that was installed in the phone, etc.) if it becomes a warranty issue. If something on the motherboard is charred the battery should be defective as well. If you include the correct battery for it and it is in working order, it'll probably raise a red flag. If it was something cheap they'd rpobably just repair/ replace it. But with soething around $450 retail, they'll probably be looking for a reason to invalidate the warranty.

You can do it if you want, just don't be surprised if you run into problems.

I've been using my Incredible batteries in my Dinc 2 and have had no problems. Only thing is the battery icon on the top shows an exclimation point only. Battery widgets work fine and show the percentage of battery left. I have one in right now!

I've been using a Seido 1750 battery from my Dinc 1 for three weeks now with no problems. you have to cut off two small corners on the contact end to make it fit. It goes in upside down from the stock battery.

    Where it's hot
I wouldn't even worry about it, the battery life is so much better than on the inc. I can get up to 24 hours with light to moderate use and I'm up to 30 hours with light use. Imho a second battery is completely unnecessary.
