I'm looking at buying some of these Vuzix iWear - buy at Firebox.com but they need video out. Do Desire's have this function? Also, is there any reason NOT to buy these? Has anyone tried them? Thanks.

I'm a bit (lot) dumb with these things. That thread is talking about using the phone with a TV but I'm after connecting some eyewear to watch tv over the internet on my phone, using a Slingbox.

    what just happened here?

i post a link to a thread where it clearly states that the Desire does not have TV out.

OP says that it is not clear.

Cars says again that the Desire does not have TV out.

OP say thanks a lot and goes away happy.

    is it me?

Of course, it could just be that the OP isn't technical and didn't understand how "TV out" and "video out" were / weren't related.

    Hi Guys,

For several months I was finding my HTC Desire wanting in terms of playing my media files on my TV. After some research I stumbled upon an app in the Marketplace called Twonky that transforms the Desire into a media server that my DLNA capable TV can connect to TV over my home wireless network. So I can now watch all my videos, photos and also play music files from the Desire on my TV.

    Cheers.
