Yes it does, and I'm using it right now!!!

I run a Linux system on my PC so use XBMC media centre to stream movies, music, pics, etc from my PC to my PS3 and my DHD!

    Love it!!! :D

I'm running Ubuntu, so I'm guessing it's similar. Here's the guide and the link:

Installing XBMC Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic or higher

If you are using Ubuntu 9.10 or higher, you have the option of a more streamlined install. Load the terminal window and issue the following:
    sudo apt-get install python-software-properties pkg-config
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-standalone
    sudo apt-get update

    Good Luck! :)

cheers for that. downloaded it last night. pretty straight forward. havent got my dhd or ps3 to find it yet though. ive 'shared' a folder on my desktop with videos inside it and then searched on my ps3 for servers but nothing is found.

ill have another go later on

In order to setup, you just need to follow this path:

    Open XBMC > Videos> Add Source> Browse

Find the folder with the videos in and then press ok.

Now Everytime that XBMC is open and your PS3 is on at the same time, they will recognise eachother and if your DHD is on the same network it will see it too if you're using something like Twonky.
