    Is it just the Thunderbolt?

On Verizon (and other CDMA carriers) it is not possible to do simultaneous voice and data on 3G.

The Thunderbolt can only do it on 4G.

At present, that capability is exclusive to the Thunderbolt.

Wrong. The thunderbolt does it on 3g also. I have done it a few times. Just did it right now calling my voicemail and surfed the web while doing it.

Do yourself a favor and try it out on your TBolt. You will be pleasantly surprised.

You are correct, I did some research and a new standard was rolled out at the beginning of the year that does allow simultaneous voice & data on 3G. So the phone has to be designed with the new standard. The standard is called SVDO for anyone that cares.

Its only on the Thunderbolt. The Charge can only use voice and data over lte.

Just to clarify, at this time, Voice over LTE (VoLTE) is not supported on the Verizon Wireless Network. The Charge uses 1X for voice and LTE for data (two separate transceivers on the same chip aka basebands) which is called SVLTE (Simultaneous Voice and Long Term Evolution data) VoLTE is scheduled for commercial release in 2012. The only device that currently has the VoLTE capability if Verizon chose to flip that switch on now would be the LG Revolution. Here is a Verizon link for source.
