I am planning on moving my 32 gig SD card from my OG evo to my new evo v.
I believe it has a 2 gig partition on it and if I don't need it, I'll wipe the card before I bring it over.
I've noticed that I have the option to move apps to the SD on the evo v. Does the stock SD card come with a partition on it?

I just got a 32 gig card and I partitioned it because I started having issues with apps on the card. I'm thinking this will help

I use an app called Super Tools Box 10+, and it automatically creats folders to move progams designed for the moving. No partitions are created. I would suggest reading different posts in the Samsung Galaxy Prevail phone forum as they have a numbers of tips and trips for partitioning SD cards, and moving system files to it.

The evo v can move files inherently when stock. I would prefer to let it do this however it wants to.
Does it need a partition on the SD or not?

No, the phone will automatically create a folder on your fat32 partition.

Thanks for clearing it up for me. I'll repartition my existing 32gig card before moving it over to the evo v.
