Does the Facebook App use SSL/https?

I've read about the recent security concerns about Android's failure to use SSL when syncing to some services (Catching authTokens in the wild-Universitt Ulm).

I was wondering if anyone knew about the Facebook for Android app and whether it uses SSL or not?

Im pretty sure friendcaster does. I emailed them about this issue, they responded "We use https for all communication. The standard app does not."

fyi, friendcaster is a android app for facebook that to me is much better than the stock one. It has ads, but they can be removed for a few bucks.
