    Currently I have firmware KE7. Kies reports to me that I can update firmware to KG1 ie;

    PDA:KG1 / PHONE:KF3 / CSC:KG1

    Covered elsewhere is that this update actually takes away ability to change messaging skins - got that.

    However can someone confirm whether this update also removes the ability to Host a USB device. By this I mean my current firmware I am able to - using a microUSB adapter - host a USB card reader or thumbdrive the SGS2 can host the contents and present them as \sdcard\usbStorage using MyFiles or any other file reader. I know that it cannot host higher power devices like external hard drives etc.

    Has anyone tried USB hosting with firmware KG1 or above - is this capability still there or has it gone the way of the message skin customisation? Ta..
