So I've noticed when I turn my phone on, the startup vibrate makes the phone actually rattle and suggest there's something loose? The speaker also distorts but I guess I should expect that from paying

Are you sure the back cover is all the way on? I notice when I reinstall the back cover I usually miss one section which will have a tiny gap. This is probably not your problem, but it is worth checking.

As for the SD cards...are you sure it isn't bad cards? How many and whay type/brand/model of cards did it fry? More info please.

The cover is definitely clicked all the way on.

First card, SanDisk 32 GB class 4, second card Samsung 64 GB class 10.

Constantly read about sd issues in this forum. To be fair, I don't read other pages on other phones but I wonder how other phones compare with sd card reliability. Spoke to a friend today with a galaxy s4 who's also had the same issue.

No problem here either. I have a 32 GB class 10 Scandisk SD card from my old Atrix 4G. I think its your phone. Take it back for a another one.

    Absolutely not.

There shouldn't be any loose bits. Your phone sounds faulty to me.

Maybe a little bit. Nothing worth worrying about. My old iPhones used to do it a little bit so it doesn't concern me.
