Support doesn't the incredible have 8gb internal storage?

    When i look into my sd card and phone storage option in says i have 6.60 gb of total space? Why is this

    The 1.40 gigs are probably used for the system, such as the operating system, stock apps that come on the phone, widgets that come on the phone, stuff like that.

    Actual formatted capacity of 8GB is about 7.5GB. 748MB of that is used for apps, and the rest is used for media (the 6.6GB).

    It actually has 748 mb of storage for the apps plus the 6.6 gb. Its less than 8 gb because...

    That quote you posted is one of the biggest issues between manufacturers of hardware and software that uses it. The manufacturers should just get with the game and accept that binary code sees a KB as 1024 bytes, not 1000 (and so on up the chain). You could actually buy a TB drive, format it, and it would say "1TB free" in your OS if they would.
