Doom Live Wallpaper!

I was inspired by the Mario live wallpaper to make something similar using Doom graphics. I released it as a beta earlier this week but there is still lots of stuff I still want to add to it. The response has been very positive so far, I just hope id doesn't ask me to remove it soon.

That would require me to port the entire doom engine, so basically it would be too much work. I've just taken some of the main sprites and built my own simple engine to animate them.

Try the new version I released today. Personally I think it's pretty close to 100% complete, but I haven't had any feedback yet.

So your the one who made this wallpaper? I must say, THANK YOU! I absolutely love this wallaper. I am currently running it, and its my fav.

New update is great btw. I still have yet to see the hell knight/baron of hells yet. =/

The monsters are programmed to come in fixed waves, so wave 1 is just two of the zombie/pistol guys, then it gets harder with shotgun guys and imps after that. The two barons of hell are the very last wave of monsters (wave 8) - kind of like how they are the last monsters in episode 1 (e1m8) of doom. You can see them if you keep giving the doomguy powerups by touching the screen, which will help him beat the earlier waves. Or you can just enable godmode in the options so he never dies.

I haven't actually been able to keep him alive long enough to kill the barons without godmode enabled, they have tons of health and do a lot of damage.

Ahh. that explains it. Yeah, I never saw the Barons because I have the regualr mode enabled, without the use of the healthpack function. lol. My doom guy would die on like wave 3, so that explains why I never see the barons. I tried godmode though, and I was able to finally get to the baron stage. very nice! lol. as for my car, thank you.

I've released a few big updates this week including the two main bosses from Doom - The Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind. Also the BFG 9000 is now one of the random powerups that can spawn.

I'm sorry. Disregard my last. Found a better uninstaller app, and it worked just fine. Uninstaller Pro couldn't see it, App Remover did.

and he keeps updating it like every other day. And adding more and better stuff. I thought it was epic at first. Then he added the plama rifle. Can't get better i think. Then Cyber Demon was added. Ok no way he can get better...now he added the BFG and the Spider Mastermind. XD Dude YOU RULE!!!

No thanks, I do make a couple of dollars each day from the adverts so I don't feel comfortable taking donations as well.
I do have some pretty cool updates still to come, decorations like the dead trees, pillars and hopefully the famous exploding barrels will be in the next release. I also would love to make a widget that you can put on your home screen somewhere that replicates the doom hud, showing the health and ammo of the doomguy but that's a long way off at the moment.

I might have done a paid version if I made the artwork myself, but obviously it's all taken from Doom so legally I don't think I could.

Plus I don't think paid apps are the way to go on android. Even angry birds is free and ad-supported.
