Assuming the nexus is released on the 15th (perhaps a bad assumption) does anyone know if the double data rate will end before then ? One guy posted in the mega thread that he thought it was ending monday; folks I've chatted with at v stores and bb have said it would last till end of month and I thought I saw somewhere on the web that it also said till end of month but not sure now (since I can't find it).

I would take the word of Verizon employees rather than the word of the one guy in a forum.

I've heard the same from Verizon reps and contacts, but I would take that with a grain of salt because they both also told me that it can end at anytime with little to no notice.

I contacted an employee about it when they announced the Double the Data plan, and he stated that it would expire in January.

This was my concern too and I was bummed when they removed the offer from their front page of the website recently. But after an online chat with a VZW rep they told me it ended 1/15. :)

They didn't remove it. It's just under the flash animation instead of actually in it now. I got scared too, but then I just looked down one inch.

January 15th is also what another VZW rep told me.

I talked to two reps a week or 2 back. There isn't a definitive date, but, they expected it to "run through the holidays".

VZW doesn't seem so good with dates. It's just "whenever they feel like it" on most things it seems.

I work for Verizon and there has been no official word on when the promotion is ending. The rumored 1/15 date could be factual, but as far as *official* promo end dates go, it is still tba.

Thanks. I called verizon today and they claimed it would last till at least the end of the month. Not sure if they knew factually but that is what they said...

I can't imagine them ending this before the holidays to drive sales. I think 1/15 would be a safe assumption.
