I still have this double lock screen issue after updating to GB. This has been a problem since Froyo.

    To summarize:
The phone has the slider lock now on top of pattern lock. I can either use no locks at all, or both. There's no way to have just one lock.

Is this happening to all DX owners?

If i turn off password lock, i go down to the slide lock. Not sure what your problem is.

    Are you rooted?

I think there is a file you can flash that removes the lockscreen for people who use the patternlock..

This phone has been around for how long? This seems like a simple fix. Yes the problem can be fixed on rooted phones but it should not have to be.

It's only a "fix" if you consider it a "flaw" in the first place. It appears to be a deliberate choice by Motorola.

Removing the slide lock screen removes the music controls from the lock screen (music controls don't appear on the pattern screen) and allow you to repeatedly attempt to "pocket unlock" your phone.

Yep, there's no way to turn it off except by rooting and installing that modification.
