Is it normal, when you double-tap on a website to zoom in, for the zoomed in portion to be nowhere near where you tapped?

I assumed that wherever you tapped, it zoomed in to that spot, but often it doesn't do that for me. Instead it might end up halfway up or down the page. Is that normal? It just happened on Wikipedia.

    I'm using the stock browser.

I've seen this happen from time to time on stock browser but haven't really seen it when using Dolphin HD browser. I recommend that browser over stock if you haven't tried it.

I've seen it do that if you double tap somewhere near the edge. It will zoom as close to that as possible, but still nearer to the center of the page because of the edge.
