hi, my first post in this forum ;-)

I'm experiencing problems when trying to download apps from the Market over WiFi; I can browse the Market perfectly over WiFi, but when I try download and install it gets stuck, until I turn WiFi off and activate a 3G data connection, then everything works.

Does anybody knows if it is supposed to be a bug or a feature?

    Many thanks!

It sometimes takes a while before it starts downloading for me but I think it's the market because it happened to my HTC Hero as well so thought it can't be the X10.

But once downloaded, install sometimes get stuck too but eventually will work, same as on HTC Hero for me.

    Thanks for your reply!

Should we deduct that's the way Android works? i.e. you can only download and install apps over 3G data connection and not over WiFi?

Should I open a new thread in another section in this forum?

    tks for any further advise!

Well, wifi still works, just that sometimes it does get stuck but will eventually work again. One time I just left my phone there for 5min waiting for the download to start while working and eventually it did.

When I dl apps over wifi its always 10x faster than using 3G. I've never had a dl get stuck. Wifi signal strength does play into it.

I know this isn't very helpful, but wi-fi has been perfect for me with D/Ls.

This is an Android issue has nothing to do with the X10.. I also have the same issues on my magic and I know of other models that have issues.
