downloading file icon on permanently!

Hi, I've noticed that my downloading file icon (arrow pointing down to bar) on my S2 is always showing and am concerned that somehow I'm permanently downloading something that will use up my internet quota. As far as I know I'm not downloading anything.
I'm very much a novice in these matters and would greatly appreciate any help.

Hi brendanxx.

Could it just be a notification that you haven't cleared?

Is it a small icon at the top of your screen on the 'Status Bar'?

If you place your finger at the very top of the screen (on the Status Bar) and then slide your finger down, it will reveal the 'Notification Panel'. You'll then have access to various handy stuff including a list of notifications and the option to clear them.
