I need to download/transfer MPEG4 files from Blackboard(or my computer) to my phone...No I'm not rooted. No I don't root...whatever the appropriate phrase is. I have a Samsung Charge.

Please help...I'm in grad school and I need the file to be as portable as possible.

Get the USB cable that came with your phone, connect your phone, select mass storage mode, turn on connection and wait for the android mascot to turn orange and the drivers to finish installing on your PC. After that, you can think of your phone as an expensive SD card adaptor to connect to your PC like a flash drive. Afterwards, turn of connection on phone (wait for the mascot to turn green), safely remove, and you're good to go.

Or you can install dropbox or sugarsync on your PC and Android and sync away (uses mobile internet connection/wifi).

Or for not so large files: Install a file manager like EStrongs File Explorer for managing your folders/files at phone and at the PC share via WiFi :)

At Estrongs use the tab 'LAN' for accessing the PC share.

    I'm not sure I understand.

    1. I found the download for my phone. Do I need a download for my PC as well?
    2. I can download smaller files from my PC to my phone wirelessly??

    1. At your PC you only have to set a LAN share on your hard drive, using the settings in the OS of your PC.

    2. Yes, and vice versa. And not only small files. I wrote that in my post because big files needs much time for transfering.
