Downloading Video from the internet. Why doesnt it work???

Hi guys/girls,

Just got my UK HTC desire, love it, but having some teething problems.

I would like to add some videos to my server, so i can download them from my HTC Desire, if i add the videos directly to the handset via the USB the videos work fine, but when i add them to my server for download over the air, they dont work. (video not compatible or the like)

I have used a htaccess file

ForceType application/octet-stream
Header set Content-Disposition attachment
</Files>
)

to force the download promt to appear and it tries to download the file, well about 5.4kb out of 5mb, so obviously it will not play.

Im stuck on how to overcome this, i have added the mime type video/mp4 aswell but the file will not download the complete file.
