    Try Try again.....

Today I was at a restaurant, I looked at my phone and it was downloading something. I never initiated a download so I was concerned. I tried to power off the phone to see if it will stop the download. IT didn't.

When I powered it back up it continued the download. Then started a 2nd download. I have no idea what they are. The little status thing at the top tells me they were fully downloaded.

Is there anyway I can see what has been downloaded to my phone?

The only thing I did beforehand was DL a picture of a mermaid a buddy sent to me just to make sure our phones are working as he sent text's and left voice mails to my phone I never received (something wrong with virgin?)

I really would like to see what was downloaded.

You didn't happen to mention your type of andriod device or its model name. I'm forced to assume(Yikes!)by your post being in the LG Optimus V forum that your device is the "V", with that presumed: you have a pull down(just like the old style pull down window shades, only no pull cord attached). If you press the info. bar at the top, and at the same time (while keeping pressure on the screen) move your finger toward the bottom of the screen it should display the download info you are seeking.

It may be that you have the market set to automatically download updates for the apps that are on your phone.

I've just had this happen on my V yesterday. All of a sudden, Google Maps just started updating. When I opened the Market app, sure enough,

I think it defaults to automatic. You have to uncheck the auto download box while in the app. I have done that to all my downloaded apps and it just notifies me when one is available. I have to manually download if I want it.

FYI: Titanium can set all auto updates on or off easily so you don't have to go through every app. Press menu/ more/ market auto updates.
