Drag Racing

So, I just reached 5000 in level 4 pro league with my M3, but I'n still not on the hall of fame list. Does anyone know why the list doesn't reflect achievement?

Blake sorry to hear about your issues with the Hall of Fame, mine shows everyone in the HoF as having 4999 or below, so no idea why it wouldn't show you on there.

Just wondering what kind of times were you running? 1/4 or 1/2?

I've gotten into the top 100, but can't move up from there, I run 14.40x's consistently in the 1/2 with my fastest being 14.396. I am getting beat by 14.388-.395. I've tuned to the best of my ability and more tuning is just making my times worse.

I have this game and hate it. There are no directions, no help section, nothing. I have no idea what to do. I can shift but I lose every time. Makes me feel stupid. They should have included a help section. I don't drive (my eyesight is too poor) but this is the only driving game I've ever had trouble playing. Totally useless to me. I will say the graphics are excellent.

Hi!
Just registered to thank for a great BMW M3 tune.

I'm still looking for a good tune for a level 9 SSC Ultimate Aero. So if anybody has an idea...

Here ist my tuning for my level 6 Aston Martin One-77:

Tune:
N: 2,70
FD: 3.230
1st: 1,900
2nd: 1.650
3rd: 1.450
4th: 1.250
5th: 1.070
6th: 0.930

Upgrades:
2-2-4-4-5-5

Start at 5.500-6.000 and do perfect shifts.
It's not a perfect tune - some racers are still faster.
But it's possible to do a 12,890 at 1/2 mile. I mostly do <12,900.

My M3 just did a 14.478 in a test-run, and i'm getting high 14.4, low 14.5 in virtually every run.
My M3 just did a 14.446 (9.65 for 1/4mi) in a test-run, and i'm getting around 14.46 in virtually every run.

I won't disclose the full setup here, you'll have to figure out the final bits on your own.

Gear ratios are like this:

final: 3.8
1st: 2.2
2nd: 1.54
3rd: 1.27
4th: 1.09
5th: 0.96
6th: 0.87

Just go for perfect starts (it's extremly easy with this gearing) with revs in the range of 6000-7000 rpm, perfect shiftsfind the best rpm for your gearchanges (you'll hit the occasional perfect shift, but that's not what you have to aim for) and find the sweet spot for NOS, and the 14.4814.45/14.46 will be yours :)

The car itself is maxed out and win's every 1/2mi race on level 4.

last edit:
finally installed a screengrabber on the desire, and got you a proof-pic... unfortunately i didn't manage another 14.446 run, but .449 should be ok, too :)

I took your setting and tweaked them a bit and ran a 14.421. Thanks for the starting point.

I've just managed to get 12.41x! As such, thought I'd share my previous 12.42x configuration.
NOS - 2.65s
Final - 2.005
1st - 3.206
2nd - 2.646
3rd - 2.148
4th - 1.836
5th - 1.623
6th - 1.453

Again, this is max rev start. Change to 2nd at 50, then the rest all perfect shifts. Fire NOS as soon as hitting 3rd gear. Enjoy, and if anyone beats 12.416, let me know, so I can carry on fine tuning my setup.

This should save many people a few hours...
There is a better tune requiring a perfect start, but can't get that often enough, and without the perfect start only runs 12.44x.

How about 12.38x without the perfect start?
