Help Driver software?

Hi, My problem is that my samsung galaxy ace connects to my computer and only charges while plugged in, the usb symbol that would normally appear in the notifications bar hasn't been showing up lately (My phone used to connect to my laptop all the time before) and when its been plugged in a message pops up about driver software needed?

If anyone could help me that would be great!!

Install Kies, it'll provide the drivers required.

I've installed kies numerous times even to see if it was a one off but still says there are missing a missing driver.

Your not alone mate, people have been having all kinds of problems connecting their phones to the computer since this phone was released.
Even i never got it to connect for more than 2 seconds ever!
I just use a card reader to transfer files now.

Oh well! I just don't understand why it won't connect up to my computer! i've looked for solutions for ages but got nothing worthwhile that's helped yet. I find it weird how it used to work then all of a sudden it doesn't but thanks anyway!
