Whenever I plug my phone in, it tries to install the drivers but can't. Im running XP and yes I know it's because I have usb debugging turned on. But you kind of have to if you want to root it. I've tried turning usb debugging off, installing the drivers, and then turning it back on which failed. ADB wouldn't recognize my phone. I've tried charge only and pc mode. I'm getting irritated because I paid money for Root explorer and I'd like to be able to use it. Not to mention titanium backup. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Disregard that. I found the drivers over in a comment at Droid life.

Do you have a link you can share? I am experiencing the same problem on XP and have only found that turning off usb debugging only corrects the issue on Windows 7 machines.
