I'm not rooted. The apps I can't do without are:

GO Launcher (and their calendar and Facebook widgets)
Splash ID (have used it for years)
Kindle (in case I accidentally leave my Kindle at home!)
    Pandora
    Music player
    Easy Bills
    Kroger
    Gas Buddy

I use all of the above on a daily basis.

Transdroid boot screen (a rooted must in my opinion till a better one surfaces)
Skype hacked version (front facing cam works, audio video smooth as glass on wifi)
    Skype 2.1.0.46 v11 Apk Android
Quikpic (i dont know about ya'll but i have a lot of pictures and moto gallery fails big)
Dolphin Browser (great replacement for stock browser)
Handsent (messenger replacement with tons of features, and but loads of user generated skins)
Team veiwer ( remote access for your pc, i've used this program for years pc to pc, and just as good on droid)
    pssssh Netflix man!!!...

And a few of the others listed above, but i do consider all these apps droid3 must haves.

This is really not just Droid 3, but here are my must have apps.

aDownloader (torrent client on your phone oh yes)
Appbrain App Market(gotta love the most popular apps of the day)
Dailycomicfree(who doesn't love abunch of funny web comics)
Dolphin Browser HD(cause the regular one sucks)
    Mixzing Premium(need that music player)
Mango (for manga on the go)
Emulators (for games more fun than the ones on the market and free)
Schedalls (so I can program it to send a happy birthday text and actually look like I care :D)
Reddit is fun(Narwhal bacons at midnight.)
    Quickpic (regular gallery sucks)
    Tubemate (best yt downloader)

Theres my list I hope it helps someone.

Sounds a lot like mine. I use all of the above for those exact reasons. I changed my font somehow...way back when we first got root, because I like the "SonySketch" font over the regular one.

    Add in PowerAmp
Juice Defender Ultimate (bye bye with OTA)
    Titanium
    Doodle Jump
    P3Droid's toolbox

Knitewulf, I saw you mentioned Schedalls, Handcent can do this too. It's quite nice. I set a few important dates then wake up to a reminder that my text was sent, as well as a thank you...suckers. ;)
