    Hell yeah it does!
In a fit of rage and stupidity I threw my phone against my back door. parts went flying.
This morning I wake up, the Mrs must have noticed it and put it back together (just battery and door type things) and presto, every single thing works, not a scratch on the screen (though the case is a little chewed up).
I wouldn't suggest anyone trying this with theirs, but my DROID can fly

I do have whobbly volume buttons now :( and the screen slides open a bit easier. but all in all I'm happy that I don't have to call the insurance people about it all.
Now, to get the battery door laying flat again, I've been workin on this all morning. I'm close but its not perfect yet.

you might want to think about leaving some pillows throughout your house.. that way you can throw those wehn your angry and not a 500 dollar piece of equipment..

    just a thought.

well I did say in a moment of stupidity. and at least this didn't turn into a "you think I can get VZW to replace it because of the screen" crap.
I did it, it was stupid, I was amazed that it held up as well as it did. Just wanted to share the excellent build quality with everyone.

True - props for that. :)

Agree...I've yet to throw mine intentionally, but have dropped it repeatedly due to innate clumsiness, and the only damage is some scratches on the black finish of the case, screen and functionality remain as-new. :)
