I searched the forums and couldnt find anything on this, my LED light has stopped lighting up when i get any notification. Not even for the native apps that come with the phone. This happened right around the time my gmail all of a sudden stopped working and starts force closing every time i open it.

what is going on, why is my phone acting up all of a sudden?

    btw i have 2.2

    thanks!

    Where Diamond Head Stay
Go to Menu, Settings, Privacy, Factory Reset.

Yes, it does wipe all user data and settings off your phone and reset it to factory defaults/settings (that's the whole point).

If you have Backup My Data, and Automatic Restore checked off on that same screen with the Factory Reset option, then you can get all your apps restored to your phone and your settings as well. Your contacts will automatically sync when you sign in to your Google account upon activation.
