Verizon posts Android 2.1 upgrade details for Droid -- Engadget
When does HTC catch up?
Droid users are still yet to receive this update, it is just a useless website right now
Soon my Friend. Please refer to this article for information on the Sprint Hero 2.1 upgrade...

This is going to be great when the day arrives.
and remember, the jump from 1.5 to 2.1 is a LOT bigger than from 2.0.1 to 2.1.
2.1 for the Hero will be out soon enough (most likely within a month or two), just be patient.
im rooted and loving 2.1 so i could care less about the update really, just for the non-rooted and for the sake of the phone i want the update to come out.
Ya, my Grandma rooted her phone last week. What's your point?
I don't have 2.1 and I already hate it.
Here's a fantastic question.. is the jump from 1.5 to 2.1 whenever it is released gonna wipe all my data? (ie: contacts, photos, dolphin bookmarks, etc..)
more than likely. However, there are apps that will back your data up to your SD card, and your contacts are backed up to google if they're "google" contacts.
Anything on your SD card (like your photos) will not be touched.
My provider, Alaska Communication System, said today our update is coming in April.
Your cellphone provider is called ACS? Lol.
Looks like I'll need to do that. Have any tips on which are good apps to have my stuff backed up to my SD?
@ NYCHitman1....Astro is a good app to back up with
Yes, did I miss something???
I'm running a 99.9% functional 2.1 right now. I couldn't care less when Sprint gets it together.
I am currently on Fresh2.1, when going to your link for damagless what is the difference between expresso and the "normal" version, pretty new to this so just curious. Thanks!
In Expresso, the bottom bar looks different from the default Sense bar. You can see it in the screen shots. It's just transparent and flat.
the upgrade is on march 26 correct?
no date yet everything is all rumors for sprint
I have Astro. Time to actually put it to use, I suppose.
ACS is a service for Child Protection in NY. I just found it funny lol.
