I found some hidden programs for Moto Droid.

Open Voice Dialer (Not Voice Search) and say

1. Open APN
opens APN settings

2. Open SIM Card Lock
opens sim card lock settings.

3. Open Battery Info
opens detail battery information

share yours if you find any:D

You're correct, no SIM card. The Milestone (Euro Droid), which is a GSM phone, would have a SIM card.

thats great, love the battery one, but what is the APN settings all about? Anything good in there to tweak?
When I opened it, the option 'Verizon' was there but no green dot next to it. I touched it to put a dot and it seems ok still.

The "Open" command for voice dialer was designed to open all programs, navigate to stored addresses, and dial contacts (et al)...not a hidden feature, as much as its just doing what its supposed to.

"open can of soup" doesn't seem to work correctly. Should I take my droid back? :)

I wish I had a southern accent, I'm a west coast person trapped in these parts :p

Lol...it'll get ya soon enough. You get that weather "layer" workin? I'm wondering if something can be done with My Mobile Weather since it uses google maps and GPS.

question for everyone using voice dialer. i know long-press on the search soft key is the voice search - is there a similar easy way to get to voice dialer or do i have to bite the bullet and make room on my homepage for an app shortcut? :)

I still use the search softkey, and just say "call dad" and it will bring up a list that it thinks you want, and usually the person i say to call is in there, dad in this example.:)

thanks for the reply - this works great for the "Call" commands, but every time I try an "Open" command, it takes me to a google search (i tried Open APN as in the first post). i wish it was all just one voice command program, not two split in a semi-shared half :D

use voice dialer, not voice search. **hint** icons on the lower plane :)

yeah - that was my main question, i know i should be using voice dialer to get "Open" and such to work, but i don't know any real shortcut to it short of pulling open the drawer, or putting an icon on my desktop.

i was hoping there was a trick i was missing similar to the "long press the search button" but it looks like i'm going to have to put a shortcut somewhere. not a problem but i finally got my dxTop set up the way i like and now i have to find room for another shortcut :)
