So, I've had my Droid for 3 months now and I still can't get over how awesome it is. It is funny, because before I got it, I didn't think I really needed it and now I don't know how I would get along without it. This is my first smart phone, so I can't really compare it to other smart phones (except the Eris which my wife has), but to date the Droid has given me know reason to wonder if there is something better. My experience yesterday kind of sums it up. I got a call from my wife that her car had broken down. She starts telling me where she is, but I just tell her to make sure her GPS is on. I pull up maps and latitude shows me exactly where she is down to the exact parking lot. I click navigate, then pull up an audio book to listen to on the way over. Once I get there, I figure out that it is nothing that I am going to be able to fix, so I need to call the repair shop. I know where I want to go, but I don't have their number, once again I pull up maps, type in the name and click on the call button. I schedule a pick-up with them and wait for them to get there. I respond to a couple emails and google talk messages from work while I wait. In the background I have my extensive music list playing and get in a few games of sudoku as well. Maybe I get too excited about simple things, but with my old dumb phone, this would have been so much more complicated (and boring). The Droid is not without its minor glitches, but overall my experience has been way better than I could have hoped for. Bottom line: I love my Droid.
