hello, i'm a long time reader but first time poster. I got my droid on launch day and have had no problems until today. I recently replaced Power Manager with Toggle Settings, but forgot to switch profiles while i was fishing so I ran out of battery really fast. I put it on the charger and it worked for a little, then i took it off before it was fully done and now it won't stay booted. It always goes back to the droid, then droid eye before the screen turns black and repeats. the green LED is blinking, and sometimes it shows the lock screen for a second, but just keeps trying to reboot.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to get the SD card out of the phone and I think that may be the problem because I was charging through my computer from a fully dead battery.

Any thoughts? I'm lost without my droid at 7pm on a friday. Thanks!

That's quite a pickle. A wipe should fix this but use that as a last resort. Can the Droid be booted in safe mode?

i'm not sure, how do i boot in safe mode? i can't get any response OS wise. its just the loading screen repeatedly.

and how exactly do i remove the sd card? is there a pushing mechanism or should i be able to slide it out?

it also seems that I can't just charge it. whenever i plug it in (this time to the wall adapter) it just turns on and tries to boot. even when i remove the battery.

gahh!

now i know why i pay 9.99 a month to best buy. it didnt respond to their computer and couldn't recover any info, maybe it could have been fixed or it was actually toasted, or maybe i got lucky but i got a brand new one!
