Motorola seems to have confirmed what many of us suspected already - the 2013 Droids (Maxx, Ultra and Mini) will not be getting the Lollipop upgrade.

See https://motorola-global-portal.cust...JHTzFzVXBKbSIsInNlc3Npb25JRCI6IkdPTnJVcEptIn0. (right side of the page)

It looks like there will be some sort of offer to Droid owners, but the link on that page currently isn't working.

I'm very disappointed by the "offer" - $100 off a Droid Turbo 2 or $500 off a Droid Maxx 2. I am pretty sure that you can get a better deal from Verizon anyway, so it's really an empty gesture, and, quite frankly, I just won't buy a carrier-brand, non-unlocked phone again anyway. It's quite possible that 2 years from now we'll be finding out that one or both of these phones won't be getting a promised upgrade to Android 'N'.

A coupon for a BT headset or a Moto 360? I might be tempted, but not by this.

I got $200 credit on my Verizon account when I traded in a Bionic for a Turbo 2. This is the new no contract program where there is an interest free monthly charge to buy the phone in two years. I can pay off the balance at any time.

Con ... 64GB Turbo 2 not available through Verizon.
Pro ... you don't have to deal with the "interesting" new Mototola.

Right, I agree, which makes the Motorola offer feel like an empty gesture. Who would use that offer when you can save more when you buy from Verizon?

Verizon does sell the 64 GB version, under the "design your own" model Turbo 2.
