Just a quick hello to get rid of the "Don't Be Shy" frame.
I'm new to android and most things root.
After the dog ate my HTC Mogul I had to get a new phone. I didn't do much to the mogul, other than a few simple hacks.
With out doing the research I would normally do before making the switch and needing a new phone fast, I bought a Samsung Moment.
So far I've not had too many problems outside the occasional data lockup.
Now for the cliff part. I'm on the edge of the cliff of taking the plunge into rooting my phone. I"m looking over the edge doing some research and I see two possible out comes.
1) I screw up bad and crash into the rocks.
2) I get it right and splash into a sea of possibilities.
So I'll keep researching till I'm fairly comfortable that I have the knowledge to get it right.
Look forward to some discussions and learning how this new phone and OS tick.
