I keep getting this message saying not enough free space whenever I try to install a new app. I go to my application settings and it shows I have 1.6 gb free of internal memory for applications.

I don't know why, but I get this same error now and then also, when installing either new apps from Amazon Free App of the Day or from Google Market. Sometimes I get it when just updating if I have to replace an existing app and install over the old one.

I just try again, sometimes several times, and eventually the install/update succeeds. I used to worry about it and do things like uninstall apps or move them to SD if possible, but that never made any difference.

I wish I could install apps to my 32gig Class 4 SD card, which I never remove with the phone on, but that is not possible without maybe HashCode's CM9 if he gts it working there maybe. Dumb design, I think, on Google's part.

I got this same error once and I went into the Settings and picked the Market application and Cleared Data and Cache. Once I did that I was able to redownload and install. I have not had the problem since. That was about a month ago.
