Root droid pirate/ metamorph/.595 GB issues???

i was trying to change some of my icons in the notification bar at the top of the phone. i successfully changed the battery icon to what i wanted, but cannot get some of the others to take,ie. 3g signal,wifi ,status bars,etc. i reboot and they are still the stock icons. i am running .595 deodexed.

Are you making the changes to SystemUI.apk?

Because battery icons are in framework-res.apk and the wifi icons are in SystemUI.apk.

GB is setup differently that Froyo is......there's no way around that fact.

What changes need to be made? Could you elaborate. Will these changes allow me to use the existing DroidPirate icons?

He's just saying that if you want to change the 3G or WiFi icons you have to change them in SystemUI.apk because that's where they are located, and battery icons are located in framework-res.apk; nothing special other than that difference.
