If you have the "hunting" skills to find me and eat my kids, surely you could find the 500 threads spewed across several forums on rooting a DROID. And for the record ... I'm really not that all that attached to my kids. :D Bring it!

Well ... since I'm not a total '****, I'll throw ya a bone. I think the best post for rooting just might be THIS ONE. Happy bricking!!! :D

Download 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download droid-superuser_update.zip that, rename it to update or update.zip if you show file extensions on your OS, place it on your sd card (not inside any folders though) power down your DROID and then open the keyboard and hold the x key while turning it back on, when you see the yellow triangle hit volume up and half click the camera button at the same time. When you do it correctly you will see a text based menu with some options, use the dpad to select apply update.zip, when it is done hit reboot. Done.

If you plan on doing anything else I highly suggest you search instead of posting something like this since we have a bunch of threads that explain it all in great detail. Flame fLame flAme flaMe flamE. Sorry.
