Support droid update Not available at this time..help?

    My X has said this from day 1..update not available please try again later
    I feel like ill be screwed when froyo comes out over push, it cant even figure out its up to date now..
    help?

    Try this:

    Open Settings... Data Manager... Data Delivery... Social Applications...

    Make sure that "Sync over Wifi only" is not checked.

    Perfect!
    I only turned that off to make sure facebook didnt sync all the time wasting battery

    The update isn't available now because, well, it's not available now. Froyo/2.2 isn't out yet, so when you check for updates, it won't see it. And if you want to see what you have on there now, got to Menu-Settings-About Phone. On that screen , there will be a line that says Firmware version. Mine is 2.1-update1. My phone also says no update available because it's up to date, just like I'm sure yours is.

    Mine says, "Your device is up to date! No update is necessary at this time."

    If your phone consistently says, "update not available please try again later", you will not get Froyo until you fix it.

    Note: with everybody and his dog trying to get 2.2 tomorrow, you may see this error due to overloaded servers.
