I read the instructions on the boot animation but am a little confused. Download the audio and unzip. Download bootanimation and don't unzip. Got that part. Put both in sdk/tools. Got that part. What is the exact steps next? What do you put in at the command prompt to get to adb? When I rooted it was cd/, cd sdk, cd tools, adb shell. Is that where I use the push command, or is it adb without shell?

    Hey there, it's really simple.

Unzip the audio file and put it into sdk/tools folder.
Leave the bootanimation file unzipped in sdk/tools folder.
Connect your phone to the USB.
Then open the command prompt on your PC.
    Type the following:

    cd\
    cd sdk
    cd tools
    adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
    adb push android_audio.mp3 /data/local
    adb reboot

That's it and enjoy. It's such a cool intro!

Exactly what I needed. Thanks. I love noob instructions. Will try out and update. One more thing. How do you remove it after and go back to stock boot animation? Does it overwrite the stock one?

    <---- Android n00b.

I'm familiar at this point with the basics of android and have some experience with linux. I've successfully rooted my phone via the "10 Min video." At this point, I am trying to push these files to my phone but to no avail... I continually get "Permission Denied" errors... what am I doing wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

w00t - learning tons every night..

so apparently loading clockworkmod recovery flash via unrevoked allows for root access to the file system while its active... so as long as you have the sdk folder on your comp and can run that junk you dont even need HTC Sync installed or any other crap

so I solved my own problem and figured some stuff out along the way - good times..

    thanks anyway gents!

    appreciate the cool stuff!
