I had read this over at androidpolice.com, and sure enough, soon as the phone boots into 2.2 for the first time I get hit in the face with the force close alert. Is there any sort of fix yet?

AppsInstaller also seems broken by 2.2...

    Thanks!

There are lots of apps that don't work out of the box with 2.2... the market is full of apps that aren't compatible with Froyo... I'm guessing that because of the Droid X being on 2.1, your problem is with Motorola.

Do you guys think it's a good idea to uninstall these apps first before we upgrade or just keep them and wait for an update?

I'm not sure I see that making a difference. I did an un/reinstall of the Droid x keyboard and it didnt change anything.

How is better keyboard? The sense one is driving me nuts!

    Have you tried this one?

I used the Droid X keyboard for 2 weeks or so and it was nowhere as good as this one in my opinion.

Thanks, just got that one and will spend some time with it. I like how the buttons are bigger. Only thing is it doesn't seem to be multitouch?

I think I'll just be waiting for Froyo to get ported over to the Droid X so somone can rip that keyboard out again :)
