Help Droid X Notification Sounds Cut Off Prematurely

I have some custom notifications set up for email and text messaging. Perhaps 50% of the time, the X cuts off the notification sound by a few seconds. I found a few others complaining about this, but no solutions. Ideas? Other people with problems: Text message notification sound getting cut off? custom notification ringtones not playing fully

do you have like any task killers? I noticed that I had issues with launcher pro + any of the task killers + custom notifications.

I'd either have no sound, play and just gets cut off, the worst, hang the X.

I tried several combinations including reencoding the ringtones.

For me at least I concluded that it was the task killers, regardless of whether I killed any tasks automatically or not.

I still don't know why but I'll live with some tasks not killed but have launcher pro and custom ringtones/notifications.
