Root Droid X to Droid Charge and a little disappointed

Hello I am coming from the droid X to the Charge and am not blown away by the phone as of yet. The bigger issue I am not seeing big dev following as of yet which makes me scared to hold on to the phone. I know its early still but coming from the D1 then the DX there was alway a big dev group creating custom roms. I was really looking forward to the unlocked bootloader but if there is no dev behind this phone its not worth it. Am I just worring over nothing what are your takes on it.

Well there is a rom and a voodoo kernel out as of now. Once we get a fully working cwm we will see a lot more stuff being released. The voodoo kernel is great, I have been using it since it was released and it helps a lot.

Thanks moondrius, I think I've played with the stock phone enough. I'll try to tackle odin/voodoo tonight.

What other performance tweaks do you use? ext4? launcher? browser?

All I have done was flash the newest voodoo kernel and froze bloat. I am running stock for the most part and using touchwiz.

Link to the ROM and the kernel? I don't suppose the ROM is AOSP, is it?

Well IDK if you care but I am getting a Charge and will be creating a ROM...

I don't have mine yet as its still in the mail and wont be here until Tuesday (damn Holiday)

CWR is out and everything seems ready to go from what I can tell, at least for a non AOSP ROM...

I am going to flashing the voodoo kernal tomorrow havent had any time. I think I just jumped the gun I am liking the phone more and more. The 4g is great dll speeds are crazy fast and the screen is bananas. I think the choice was the right one now just need to get netflix running on this beast.
