Saying, Hello, New to forum and new DROID X2. Love the phone, don't love the battery life. Was looking at the Motorola Extended Battery and Door.
    Any thoughts out there?
Also when using that setup will I still be able to put phone in car dock??
And how do I get the sound of maps to play through AUX PORT. Tried to do this today could not do it. Maybe Bluetooth on got in way?

Honestly, the first day or two, I wasn't terribly impressed with the X2's battery life, despite reading everyone's rave remarks about how great it was. But, the reason I was draining my battery so much was because I just couldn't put the thing down. From customizing it to just generally wanting to play around with it, I was constantly on it. After I got that out of my system, I started to see how great the battery really is.

The OEM motorola BH6X battery fits tightly with the stock door, but there is no problem with it. I used the extended battery with the OEM door on my X and now my X2 with no issues at all. My battery with light to normal use easily lasts all day and definitely into the next if I didn't charge it every night. SO the door is optional.

I also don't see any issue with it working in the car dock or any dock, or even any case either, the door sticks out a fraction of a mm extra with the extended battery in with the OEM door so no issue at all with fitment on anything really.

As far as the other issues go I am not sure on, I haven't used the AUX port or bluetooth at all on this or my X so I can't help you there.

I thank you for the info, I will keep playing with it. I have tried all cases at the store where I bought the phone and none of them fit in the Motorola Car Dock that I got with phone. Going to keep looking for one though.

    1. The extended battery and door fit in most cases, and most docks.

    2. I have found no case that fits inside the car dock and i have tried almost all of the "thin" ones i could find.

Sorry, but #1 is a false statement. My extremely thin Seidio case is somewhat rigid and the 1 mm of extra thickness from the extended battery door makes the 2 halves of the case hard to snap together completely. My solution was to ditch the battery door altogether as the case protects the phone so well anyways.

When I bought my extended battery it came with a new cover.

This fits in both the car dock and the table dock no problem.

Per VZW: "there are no cases for DX2 that fit in either docking station."
