Help Droid X2 Gmail will not sync

I got a Droid X2 in July on Verizon. I added my Google account, but my Gmail and calendar will not sync. They never have - I always have to manually fetch. I have background data turned on. I have everything set to sync all the time. I saw a couple of old threads about this, but did not notice a solution. Any suggestions?

call verizon and see what they say? if we havnt found a solution by now we need to ask the "experts" LMFAO
