I've dropped two phones in water, won't tell you where and my fiancee had one stolen from her at the NYS Fair one year. Asurion covered them all. Back then it was only $50 though, not anymore

3 Other Points
1. If another system on your device is malfunctioning due to the drop such as a button or the speakers, you're eligible for a replacement under the 12 month manufacturer's warranty. Contact your retailer.
2. The $90 deductible is still less than the $570+tax it would cost for a replacement Droid X.
3. If you didn't already, it probably makes sense to cancel your droid insurance to save $95.88/year if you're not going to use it...unless you are keeping it for loss/theft coverage.
