Dumb question about google maps

This may seem dumb or maybe I'm just missing it, but how do you get high resolution street view in google maps? My street view seems to use compressed and low resolution photos. The exact same views on my old iPhone is crisp and high res. I think it's the same for satellite view too.

I've been looking at the settings and I can't find it. I tried connecting to 4G thinking it was like Sprint TV and would automatically go high quality, but that didn't work. This isn't really a big deal for me at all, I just wanted to figure it out.

Did you download the Street View on Google Maps app?

I just downloaded it. It didn't update the image quality, but it did make street view easier to use. I didn't know there was a separate street view app that I needed to download it order to keep up to date. I always thought it updated with Maps itself, so thanks for that.

After you download Street View, you also check off the street view option in the "layers"
