Duplicate Icons in Launcher bar - Help!

    Hi Guys, I think I may have messed something up. I deleted a non essential app (deskclock.apk & .odex) and also had to get a replacement sim card so I could get my old number ported. But now, I have (2) "Messenger" icons on my launcher bar at the bottom of the screen. 1 of them has replaced my "Phone" icon. Is there a Configuration file somewhere that needs modified since I deleted that application?

    Welcome to AF John.

    Have you tried long pressing one of the Messenger icons for a small menu to pop up, offering to remove/edit/resize etc? Or long pressing and dragging to a trashcan at the top or bottom of your screen?

    Yes, I have tried that. Long press does nothing. These icons are already at the bottom line of the screen. Normally, they are "Phone","Contacts",:Messenger" and "Apps". Now they are "Messenger","Contacts","Messenger" and "Apps". BTW, What is this area called? Launcher Bar?

    Maybe you can drag the home screens in question in the trashcan?
    While on a home screen tap on the Home button.
    (... but might only work on HTC phones)
