Root E: cant open/cache/recovery,command

This happens sometimes...I can't remember the exact cause though. Anyway how are you flashing your new recovery? Are you using a app like droidrootpro or dmupdater? Or are you flashing it manually with the flash_image command? Either way you should try once or twice more, if your still getting the same error then I would use the 2.0.1 SBF file with RSD Lite to reflash your phone. Then start over again with the rooting process.

I have tried several things, but the result is always the same:

When I open the recovery console, I get this exact message.
"Android system recovery <2e>

Use d-pad to highlight, center to select

Reboot system now
apply sdcard : update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

E:Can't open /cace/recovery/command"

I am tying to install Froyo, any way possible.

I have gone back to 2.1.1 using RSD lite and have redone it again.
I have tried to just ignore it, but I don't have superuser permissions.
I have applied update.zip and redone it again.
I have gone back to 2.2 unrooted and back through the past couple of steps.

PLEASE, I'm at my wits ends.

:mad:I NEED HELP!

FROYO IS JUST TOO AWESOME TO WAIT FOR!

Thanks.
